To compensate for the impact of human activities on marine ecosystems, ecological restoration has become a major concern.
The installation of artificial reefs is spreading in particularly damaged and fragile areas, especially in ports or offshore from large coastal cities, in order to reactivate the ecological function of natural nurseries (rocky or sandy seabeds) that have been altered by coastal developments and the artificialization of the shoreline.
Based on a raw steel structure, which can take various shapes depending on the needs, SEACURE reefs are designed and dimensioned to optimize the colonizable surface. Their structural complexity increases the shelter volume for post-larvae and juveniles, helping protect them from predators.
