Weaknesses of current solutions

Geotextile tubes are large textile containers filled with sand and installed offshore, in shallow areas. Their purpose is to break the energy of the waves before reaching the shore, thereby limiting the silting of the protected area. Being close to the surface to be effective (about one meter deep), they are exposed to boat propellers, floating debris, or any other risk of tearing.

Daily maintenance, repairs, or even replacement are very costly operations.

SEACURE Solution: GeoWave®

Based on a patented process developed in partnership with a globally renowned geotextile manufacturer, SEACURE designs, develops, and installs submerged geotextile breakwaters, covered with a protective GEOCORAIL® layer obtained through polarization of the structure.

This coating protects the structure from tearing and strengthens it against external aggressions.

Furthermore, the composition and biomimetic appearance of the calcomagnesian coating promote the regeneration of marine biodiversity on the structure, effectively turning it into an artificial reef.
