Waves of change
Summary
The Waves of Change 2025 forum brought together in Biarritz more than 200 committed stakeholders to invent tomorrow's solutions to the ecological challenges facing coastlines. Three days of workshops, conferences and collaborative innovation around the theme "The Next 10 Years".
Description
From April 28 to 30, 2025, the Waves of Change forum was held in Biarritz around the central theme "The Next 10 Years", with the objective of building concrete responses to the challenges facing coastal territories in the face of climate change. More than 200 participants — startups, scientists, local authorities, NGOs, investors — participated in 35 workshops, 8 round tables, a plenary conference and several collaborative formats.
The event focused on action: the Tideline Startup Challenge enabled multidisciplinary teams to propose concrete prototypes, ready to be deployed, to preserve coastlines and support their ecological transition.
This forum also played a strategic role in the lead-up to the next United Nations Conference on the Ocean, by bringing together French and European stakeholders around common and ambitious positions. Waves of Change 2025 was thus a space for meeting, innovation and co-construction to bring forth sustainable solutions at both local and global scales.
